Hands-on Portfolio Workshop
The workshops goal is to establish an understanding of and offer hands-on experience with the ILIAS Portfolio tool. This session is geared toward participants who want to build basic skills in handling the portfolio component and improve their knowledge of the associated workflows.
They get a quick presentation of the tool. Tasks from various workflows of the portfolio component are assigned to participants. They experience themselves how a teacher creates and structures portfolio task for students, student uses competency list as basis for a portfolio, student peer reviews portfolio, teacher grades portfolios. A rich set of mock data had been prepared to make the hands-on a meaningful experience.

Welcome and Introduction
Activity: Introduction Round
Content: Introduction of participants: What do you expect from portfolios? What do you want this workshop to focus on? What is your interest in or experience with  portfolio work?

Portfolio Component in ILIAS
Activity: Slide  Presentation / Software Presentation
Content: Introduction to concepts underlying the portfolio component. Demonstration of the portfolio component. Introduction of tasks and scenario of the hands-on phase.

Hands-On: working with ILIAS portfolios
Activity: participants carry out prepared portfolio tasks with ILIAS
Content: pairs of participants will complete a set of assigned tasks from various workflows of the portfolio component. Options: teacher creates and structures portfolio task for students, student uses competency list as basis for a portfolio, student peer reviews portfolio, teacher grades portfolios.
Tasks will be carried out using the live system, assignments will be handed out, mock data had been prepared to make the hands-on a meaningful experience

Plenary Discussion and Feed-back
Activity: Plenary discussion and gathering feed-back
Content: Participants are asked to reflect on their hands-on experience.
