Evolution of interactive constructivism theories applied to the new technologies underlying Web 2.0
Interactive constructivism represents the state of the art of e-learning services in the software market. Web 2.0 stresses the importance and centrality of users community, which becomes more important than availability of special services provided on the World Wide Web. For instance, Web 2.0 privileges contents customization, both in form and in organization, through active community processes. This concept is already exploited in some e-learning software on the market, at least partially. However, some of the underlying technologies of Web 2.0, AJAX for instance, may help e-learning systems in "filling the gap" between learning spaces and the community, through simple and more intuitive communication metaphors, which exploit the adaptation capabilities of existing Free/Open Source software.
